Frequently Asked Questions

Sometimes the technology decides not to do what it should! Very frustrating! Sorry it's happened to you and thank you for your patience. First of all, just double check your junk/spam folder. Also make sure to add jo@thecraftynomad.co.uk to the Safe Sender list in your email settings. Next go to the Register Page and sign up. Once you are in, you'll be able to click on the My Courses tab at the top. If your enrolment was processed then the course will show up in your courses. If it's not there or you have problems registering then just drop me an email at jo@thecraftynomad.co.uk. It could be something as simple as a typo in the email address.  You can also watch the video below that can help.

No problem at all!  The content will be delivered weekly but you might choose to do a little bit each day.  You might not have time to do it in the 4 weeks, that's ok you'll have access to it for a minimum of 6 months after signing up.  So find a solution that works for you.  All that said, please be aware that the LIVE sessions are generally  planned for certain points of the course, so you may want to try to have completed the lessons available at that point so you understand what I'm talking about and can ask questions about the content delivered to that point.

The other thing to say here though, is that you only get out what you put in.  In order words you will need to spend time practising a skill to improve at it.  And lots of the skills I teach, particularly Free Motion Quilting, is best learned if you are able to practice little and often, if you could manage 10-15 minutes a day that would be amazing and you would definitely see results quicker!  If you put the time in you will develop good habits and improve your skills.  The important thing is to remember that this is fun! It's your hobby and should never make you feel stressed out!

Go at your pace, you'll have access to the content for a minimum of 6 months after signing up.

The beauty of learning online is that it suits your schedule and time zone.  If you can't make it to a LIVE session, please don't worry.  I record the vast majority of the formal live sessions, so you can always watch the replay.  The majority of LIVE sessions are Q&A sessions and there are other ways to get your questions answered during a course: ask a question in the discussion box beneath each video lesson; ask a question on the community page; or ask a question in the Facebook Group.

Some security systems are causing a glitch in the system and not registering the click on the Buy button. If this happens you have various option to buy the course: try buying on a different device, this is the fastest way to solve the issue; contact me to arrange a different payment method; go into your security (e.g. Kaspersky) and allow data collection for this website, that seems to resolve the issue.

Once you’ve paid you’ll be asked to set up a log in. Once that’s done you’ll be able to access the portal. You’ll automatically be emailed a receipt and log in link to my Online Sewing School (Portal), so if you didn’t set up the log in when you paid, you’ll be able to do it using the link.

That's ok, don't worry, it's easy to reset your password.  Just click on the Sign In button (top right).  Underneath the Log in button you will see the words 'Forgot Password'.  Just click that and follow the prompts to reset your password.

It is not possible to issue refunds for digital products for immediate download and customers lose their 14 day right to cancel. This is because it is not possible to recall digital content. By continuing to purchase digital products the customer is acknowledging that they have waived that right.

Quilt Hive is a subscription membership club, which means you only have access to the learning content whilst you are a paying member.  In that way it works like any other club, membership or subscription.

My courses (such as the Free Motion Quilting courses, BOMs and other on-demand courses) on the other hand don't have any restrictions on access.  This means that as long as I have the website open, you will have access to the teaching content.  I guarantee 6 months access as a minimum.

We'd obviously be sad if you decided to cancel your membership, but we understand that sometimes people need to do this.  Please be aware that once you stop being a member of the club you will lose access to the content.  If you still want to cancel head on over here to find out how.
