1. Terms of Supply

This page, and documents referred to herein, set out the terms under which we supply any of the products listed on our website to you.  Please read them carefully before purchasing from us.  By continuing with your purchase, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of supply and all applicable laws and regulations.  You also agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws.  If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

3. About You

By purchasing from us you warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

4. Consumer Rights and Cancellation

Digital Products (Patterns, Courses & Memberships):
Digital products do not fall within the 14 day 'Cooling Off' period required under UK law.  

Physical Products:
Customers purchasing physical items from me online have the right to cancel the order within 14 days of receiving the item. So if you are not entirely happy with your purchase please contact me within 14 days of receiving the item to discuss a refund. The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent out in, and at the customer’s expense. A refund will be issued on receipt of the item.

5. Risk and Title

Physical Products:
Once full payment including postage and packaging costs have been received by us, ownership of the item transfers to you.

Digital Products:
Purchases are for individuals only and cannot be bought for groups and cannot be shared.  
For online courses, classes, workshops and memberships this means that you CANNOT share your password or access to this page with anyone else.  You CANNOT download or copy the videos.  You CANNOT let your guild or group members all watch the videos on your login.  It is for you ONLY.   If we have evidence that this has occurred, we will cancel access to all products with immediate effect.  You will not be entitled to a refund.
For digital PDF patterns this means you are not allowed to share the pattern with friends.  It is illegal to do so and will violate copyright law.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyright belong to us, The Crafty Nomad.
If you purchase on online course, class, workshop or membership from us, we grant permission to use the materials on The Crafty Nomad's web site for your personal education, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • a) modify or copy the materials.
  • b) use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial).
  • c) attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on The Crafty Nomad's web site.
  • d) remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials.
  • e) transfer the materials to another person or 'mirror' the materials on any other server.

This means that you CANNOT share your password or access to this page with anyone else.  You CANNOT download or copy the videos.  You CANNOT let your guild or group members all watch the videos on your login.  It is for you ONLY.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by The Crafty Nomad at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any copied/downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

7. Price and Payment

Prices are quoted in British pounds.
Prices are subject to change at any time.  Changes will not affect completed purchases
Payment for online courses, classes, workshops and memberships can be made by all major credit cards via Stripe.
Payment for Physical products and digital PDF patterns can be made by all major credit cards via Stripe and also via Paypal.

Quilt Hive is a membership club.  And as such, members are granted access to the content whilst they are a paying monthly member.  Once monthly payments cease so will access to the content.  It is your responsibility to keep your credit card information up to date. When a card expires you will need to update it in Your Account area.  Failure to do this could result in your membership being automatically cancelled.

Some products or services come with a free bonus of a Facebook Group and/or a community page on this website.  As stated these are free bonuses and do not constitute a paid element of the product or service purchased.  As such, we may choose to close Facebook or community groups, remove individuals from  Facebook or community groups or refuse membership to  Facebook or community groups at our discretion and without notice.  You will not be entitled to a refund.

8. Access to Online Content

Online Courses: Access to On-Demand courses, Courses with Live elements such as the Free motion Quilting courses I run, and my Block of the Month programs, do not have an end date added to them.  This mean you will have access to them as long as I keep the website open.  I guarantee access for a minimum of 6 months from purchase.

Quilt Hive Membership: Quilt Hive is a membership club. And as such, members are granted access to the content whilst they are a paying monthly member. Once monthly payments cease so will access to the content.

9. Refund Policy

You are not entitled to a refund for digital products such as online courses, classes, workshops, memberships of PDF patterns.   Digital products to not come under the 14 day 'Cooling off' period under UK law, so customers lose their 14 day right to cancel.  This is because it is not possible to recall digital content.  By continuing to purchase digital products the customer is acknowledging that they have waived that right.

10. Warranty

We warrant to you that we will carry out our obligations under the contract with you with reasonable skill and care.  Our product descriptions will fairly and reasonably reflect what is delivered and will be of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for purpose.
We will make every effort to ensure that the materials appearing on The Crafty Nomad's web site are correct and accurate.  However we will not be liable for any technical, typographical, or photographic errors.  The Crafty Nomad may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice.  If you notice an error with your order please inform me as soon as possible at jo@thecraftynomad.co.uk

11. Liability

In no event shall The Crafty Nomad or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on The Crafty Nomad's Internet site, even if The Crafty Nomad or a Company authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay if such failure or delay is due to an act or omission by you or a third party.
You will assume full and sole responsibility for the selection,  suitability and use of the product or course.
The Crafty Nomad has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by The Crafty Nomad of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.

12. Data Protection

You agree for us to use any personal data that you have provided to us about yourself,  to fulfil our contract to you.
You agree that we can use that personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Import Duty

If you order products from us from somewhere other than the UK, you may be liable for import duty and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches it's destination.  We have no control over these.  You will be responsible for these.    We are not liable for any breach by you of any such laws

14. Events Outside Our Control

We shall not be liable or responsible for a delay or failure to fulfil a contract due to an event outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).  This could include (without limitation): fire, flood, explosion, earthquake, epidemic, natural disaster, industrial actions, civil commotion, terrorist attack, war, impossibility of transport or telecommunications networks, restrictions of any government.

The Crafty Nomad may revise and amend these terms of use from time to time.  
You will be subject to the  Terms and Conditions in force at the time of your purchase.

17. Governing Law

Any claim relating to The Crafty Nomad web site shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
