"Have been wanting to do this type of quilting for a few years, I did a beginners course a few years ago but always felt I needed more. This course has done that.
I am not very good with the computer stuff, but managed to get around the website, portal and Facebook OK. Quite a feat for me. I wont shy away from online courses again. So that was a bonus for me.
The videos and paper lessons were easy to follow and I never felt stranded. I have enjoyed this course so much, I am an avid quilter but my enthusiasm had gone following the dreaded Covid infection.
This course has bought me right back into my quilting. I am thrilled with the project results that I achieved. Thank you Jo."

"Jo makes FMQ feel less scary as she teaches the basics first and then explains how the basics are used in the more difficult motifs. She is very supportive and motivational and is very helpful if there is anything in particular which needs a bit more explanation. I loved every minute of it!!"

Not this time, but I will run the course again so make sure you are signed up to my email newsletter list to find out when I will be launching it again.
Absolutely - so long as you meet the criteria given above about who this course is aimed at. You will already be able to set up your machine for free motion quilting and confidently free motion quilt a meandering design, and possibly others such as loops and pebbles. You'll already know how to resolve tension issues. If not, then this course may not be the right one for you and may be too advanced. I have designed this course to follow on from my beginner class so I won't be teaching the things I taught in that course on this one.
If you are at all unsure which course is most suitable to you after reading both course descriptions then by all means email me before booking so I can make sure you are booked onto the correct course for your current skill level. I want you to feel that you can achieve the course objectives not be totally out of your depth.
Once you’ve paid you’ll be asked to set up a log in. Once that’s done you’ll be able to access the portal. You’ll automatically be emailed a receipt and log in link to my Online Sewing School (Portal), so if you didn’t set up the log in when you paid, you’ll be able to do it using the link.
Some security systems are causing a glitch in the system and not registering the click on the Buy button. If this happens you have various option to buy the course: try buying on a different device; contact me to arrange a different payment method; go into your security (e.g. Kaspersky / Norton) and allow data collection for this website, that seems to resolve the issue.
No problem at all! The content will be delivered weekly but you might choose to do a little bit each day. You might not have time to do it in the 5 weeks, that's ok you'll have access to it for a minimum of 6 months after signing up. So find a solution that works for you. All that said, please be aware that the LIVE sessions are planned for certain points of the course, so you may want to try to have completed the lessons available at that point so you understand what I'm talking about and can ask questions about the content delivered to that point.
The other thing to say here though, is that you only get out what you put in. In other words, you will need to spend time practising a skill to improve at it. And this particular skill is best learned if you are able to practise little and often, if you could manage 10-15 minutes a day that would be amazing and you would definitely see results quicker! If you put the time in you will develop good habits and improve your skills.
The important thing is to remember that this is fun! It's your hobby and should never make you feel stressed out! Go at your pace, you'll have access to the content for a minimum of 6 months after signing up.
No problem! You can ask me a question during one of the LIVE Q&A sessions using the chat box. If the time doesn't suit your schedule or time zone then just be sure to email me the question ahead of time and I'll answer in the LIVE anyway. I record the LIVES and load them into the portal for you to watch when convenient.
Alternatively post your question in the Community Page or Facebook Group. Either myself or one of our other lovely members is sure to be able to answer it for you. :-)
This is all listed above.

"Very informative course material, clear instructions for weekly tasks but with the flexibility to work at your own pace. Benefit of tuition by an experienced free motion quilter who is willing to cover the basics as well as techniques for more advanced free quilting. Fun, friendly and hugely enjoyable."

Confidence Building Course
Having completed the introductory FMQ course and really enjoyed it I was keen to build on my knowledge and skill. This course followed on so naturally and Jo's ability to share her love of FMQ is inspiring. Jo is a natural teacher and communicator and the course material is easy to follow and understand. I have not only added another tool to my quilting tool box but perhaps more importantly gained in confidence to try new things. The supportive, friendly Facebook group is an added bonus too. Thank you Jo.

Brilliant course.
Thank you for another great course. Having completed the beginners course I jumped straight in to learn more. Realize that practice, practice, practice is the way forward so must set a session each day to improve. Thank you again Jo and look forward to the next course you may run.

Fabulous
Thank you Jo, for this course. Although I have not yet done the project, I have done all lessons and have learnt such a lot. You make it easy to understand, and a lot less scary than I thought it would be. You have given me the confidence to move in to bigger and better projects. Thank you. Xx
